On Paris Trip Tips I read enjoyable idea. Pick up a picnic at a good restautant nearby and enjoy the real Paris. Look what they wrote :
There’s nothing quite like a picnic in Paris. On the banks of the Seine, on the Pont des Arts (which I don’t really recommend because everyone else in the free world is there too), in the Luxembourg Garden, there are so many places to enjoy a picnic. Top top it off, there’s something so very sophisticated about French picnic food: crudités, paté, baguette, wine…this is no “tuna sandwich with a bag of chips” picnic.
A few restaurants in Paris have gotten in on the picnic act, preparing rather elaborate picnics for guests to order in advance, pick up, and enjoy in their Parisian park of choice. One of the recommended restaurant is on walking distance of the Montmartre Studio Loft and has a very good cook.
Chez Michel
Their “panier piquenique” includes two entrees, two main courses, fruit, cheese, dessert and a bottle of wine or cider. You have to bring your own forks, knives, plates, napkins, etc.

(July 20-August 20) by Klein, Fodor’s Editor
For an entire month, the right bank of the Seine is transformed into a long, sandy beach, with lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas, activities (especially for kids), and even public art and fountains. It’s an extremely popular place to be—and not just on sweltering weekends. This year, there’s a “green” spin on the plage, with recyclable materials used to build wooden decks and cabins along the river’s banks.
It’s the most emblematic event of the Parisian summer: the expressways along the side of the Seine between the Tuileries gardens and the Pont de Sully are shut off to traffic for a whole month and 1,800 tons of sand are added! And 50-odd palm tress! And a lot more (deckchairs, water fountains, cafés…)! And there’s the same thing on the Bassin de la Villette too!

Barack Obama will be seen next to Nicolas Sarkozy,Angela Merkel and Vladimir Poutin.
But before the wax version of Barack Obama will be integrated in the museum, it did a little walk in front of the Eiffel Tower to take some photos. Of course many people were troubled by seeing this.
The wax version of Obama is made by the sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray. He used photos and video images to realise his work.

Paris explodes into one huge party on Bastille Day (July 13-14), but two particular events for the 2009 celebration should not be missed.
At the Place de le Bastille on the eve of July 13th there’s a huge dance and music party.
And to mark the Eiffel Tower’s 120th birthday, it will sparkle even more than usual as a fireworks and light show will happen around 10:45 on July 14th with a lot of animation around the place. To see the fireworks at its best, go to the other side of the Seine, Place Trocadéro. I have nice memories of it when my mom took me there when I was ten.
