Paris’s fashion shows are some of the most prominent in the world, and every year designers and their entourages fly in from across the globe for a week of fashion, fury and media hype. But unlike the boutiques it is not easy to catch a fashion show unless you know the dates and have the right connections. Which is where the Hôtel Le Bristol steps in.

set on the exlcusive rue du Faubourg St.-Honoré the hôe has teamed up with its haute couture neighbours to offer Thés à la Mode – a lip-smacking afternoon tea (most Saturdays 3.30-5.00 PM) accompanied by a top-end fashion show for just 55 Euro.

Guests are fed tea, cakes, desserts by pastry chef Laurent Jeannin ( a different one each week inspired by the designer on show) , gourmet sandwiches and a parade of models dressed in new collections. The whole show is satisfyingly sophisticated and surprisingly unpretentious and take place in the bar ( reservations : 01 53 43 43 42).
