The Centenary of the International Paris Air Show will be an unprecedented celebration for all air and space enthusiasts!
Every day will be a unique event featuring more than 3 hours of flying displays, every new product to emerge from the aerospace industry as well as  historic aircraft .
Finally, the Patrouille de France aerobatics team will be putting on an outstanding display on Saturday 20 th and Sunday 21th June.

My husband and a friend of him working at the Army visited it once, and when he came home he was very very enthousiastic. He was taking about planes the whole evening. It must have been something.

It’s a good idea to buy tickets in advance for faster entry.

Air-Show Le Bourget, From Châtelet, Gare du Nord, Charles de Gaulle airport, take the RER B, change at Le Bourget station

La fête de la musique

La Fête de la musique is a annual  event coming up next weekend . It’s as if the whole of Paris is having a big party with music everywhere and a lot of people on the streets.

The Fête de la Musique is  a free popular fête, open to any participant (amateur or professional muicians) who wants to perform in it. This Music day allows the expression of all styles of music in a cheerful atmosphere.  It gives an opportunity to communicate and share a very special moment through music.

The musicians are asked to perform for free, and all the concerts are free for the public. It’s the reason why they are used to play in open air areas as streets and parks or in public buildings like museums, train stations, castles… Furthermore, the Fête de la Musique is a way to encourage the major music institutions (orchestra, operas, choirs, etc.) to perform outside their usual locations.

For a program go to the site, or … a better idea is to “flane” on the streets and let the music bring you at different places.
